Past Projects

Jamberoo Mountain Road – Kiama Council

Wallawa Traffic Group was engaged by Kiama Council to deliver full traffic management
services for critical maintenance and upgrade works along the steep and narrow
Jamberoo Mountain Road. This 6-month project required precise planning, risk
assessment, and coordination due to the road’s high gradient, limited access points, and
regular tourist traffic. Our team implemented advanced traffic control measures, developed
Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Vehicle Movement Plans (VMPs), and maintained
safe and efficient access for road users, residents, and construction crews throughout the
duration of the works.

Mount Keira Road – Wollongong City Council

For this project, Wallawa partnered with Wollongong City Council to manage traffic for road
resurfacing and infrastructure upgrades on the winding and heavily trafficked Mount Keira
Road. This location presented challenges due to its proximity to schools, walking tracks,
and residential zones. Wallawa provided full traffic planning, permit acquisition, onsite traffic
control, and 24/7 monitoring. Our experienced personnel ensured minimal disruption to the
community while maintaining a safe worksite for contractors and the public.

Bega Region Projects – Downer & Fulton Hogan

Wallawa Traffic Group was subcontracted by Downer and Fulton Hogan to support multiple
civil and road maintenance projects across the Bega Valley region. Our team supplied end
-to-end traffic management services including TMP development, council and RMS permit
applications, and deployment of experienced traffic controllers and equipment. Operating in
rural and regional environments, we adapted our strategies to variable terrain, weather
conditions, and local traffic patterns. Our strong regional presence and knowledge of the
South Coast enabled efficient mobilisation and quality delivery of services in alignment with
Tier 1 contractor standards.
